Music has been a lifelong passion for Richie Dio, beginning at just six years old with formal training in piano, drums, and percussion. Over the years, his musical journey has evolved through jazz groups, rock bands, orchestras, DJing, and music production, shaping the versatile sound he brings to dancefloors today.<\/p>\n
Since his early breakout sets at legendary NYC venues Tunnel and Limelight in the 90s, Richie Dio has gone on to perform at a wide range of clubs and events while supporting artists including Todd Terry, Chus & Ceballos, Joeski, Oscar G, Roger Sanchez, Harry Romero, and many more.<\/p>\n
His transition into music production came naturally through his extensive musical background, further inspired by his cousin, a Grammy-nominated songwriter and former American Idol judge. Richie\u2019s productions blend driving drums and percussion with immersive melodies, chord progressions, arpeggios, and soulful vocal elements, spanning House, Afro House, Tech House, and Melodic House.<\/p>\n
With releases on respected labels including Jackies Music, Kevin Saunderson\u2019s KMS Records, and R-Trybe \u2014 founded by internationally renowned producers Huxley, Ramin Rezaie, and Bakkis \u2014 Richie Dio continues to build momentum with upcoming releases on Moody Recordings and Broken Records, the label created by house music pioneer Jesse Saunders.<\/p>\n
Known for his energetic vibe, infectious grooves, and versatile sound, Richie Dio continues to captivate dancefloors both locally and internationally while earning the attention of audiences and fellow artists alike.<\/p>\n
